The Ashram activities start at 4 am, everyday. By 4.30, all inmates of the Ashram are required to start meditation. Following the meditation, is Manthra Sadhana (Practising Manthras). Pooja and Bhajans are conducted next.
Swami Aswati Thirunal, who is the Mattathipathi, makes the morning Satsanga speech after this. Yoga lessons start immediately after.
Karma Yoga, which include cleaning, washing, tending to nature, cooking for Asram inmates, follows Yoga lessons. During this time, the young ones who are capable, practice Kalarippayattu or Bharathanatyam. It will be about 9am then and children are off to school. This is the time for meeting of the yoginees to discuss various aspects of the activities that day, sort out any problems and follow it up with Swamiji.
At 2’O clock the spiritual classes of yoginees begin. At 5 pm the evening pooja starts followed by meditation and chanting of Mantras and Bhajans. Then it is study time for all, till 10 pm. The lights are off at 10 pm, indicating the end of the activities of the day.
Almost every day Swamiji will have a speech to make, a lot of people to counsel and poojas to perform.
