The Ekalavya Charitable Trust is an organization for the spiritual, social and cultural upliftment of the people. The registered office is at Ekalavyam, Olavakkode, Palakkad Dt., Kerala. Swami Aswathi Thirunal is the President of the Trust.
The Objectives of the Trust are to:
- Promote charities for the uplift of those who are socially or economically backwards, physically or mentally challenged, irrespective of sex, cast, creed, religion, race and nationality.
- Setup and promote running and maintaining of orphanages, stay homes, old-age homes and care homes mainly for the relief of or help to those who are in dire need of these facilities.
- Establish and promote availability of financial aid for setting up schools or educational institutions.
- Provide and render help to the poor, destitute, widows and children.
- Assist with medial aids, food, cloth and shelter in case of any natural calamity.
- Promote, encourage and aid in education and self employment for all classes of people.
- Promote establishment of heritage places and yoga centers.
- Publish books, periodicals, booklets to promote advancement in education and culture.
The Trust has recently launched a venture called Chandrayan with the objective of harnessing youth potentiality through systematic spiritual methodology. This institution conducts career guidance and training for competitive examinations, classes on music, dance, yoga and personality development.
